i finally learned about the "disable community content" option in steam's library. now i dont have to play return to castle wolfenstein with a bunch of disturbed gamer dudes getting horny over nazi women on the install page. hate it! what the fuck!

im still not sure about the hannibal show but i'll admit, it's highly entertaining watching mads mikkelson try to out-evil other evil people with evil mindgames. best scene so far was a dinner between him and a murderer being like "i was going to kill you" "oh well i was going to kill you" and then the main character stumbles in like "hey guys!"

like, this is schlock. it's well-acted, well-produced pulpy schlock trying to use psychology as a shield for very silly gore and horror. it's not far off the original film in that regard (haven't read the books).

but my god is it hilarious. this episode had a guy's throat turned into a string instrument and played, that's creative if nothing else.

the cello murderer escaped custody by killing two cops with a cello bow through the throat, he's basically an R18 Batman villain.

edit: he is now fighting hannibal with a cello string kung-fu style. a "clever and complex adult show" according to one review.
